  • The Wade Worx system is designed as a modular cassette platform.

    Each Solo Cassette can be used individually or stacked together to create larger configurations such as the Trio and Guide systems.

  • The Wade Worx modular cassette system is designed to work with the industry’s most common slim-profile trout and freshwater tippet spools.

    If you use standard 30 m – 50 m tippet spools from major fly fishing brands, the system is engineered to provide a precise, secure, rattle-free fit.

    Compatible spool dimensions

    The launch version supports spools with:

    • Maximum diameter: 70 mm (2.75 in)

    • Spool width: 7 mm – 12 mm

    These dimensions cover the vast majority of trout tippet spools used by major fly fishing brands.

      • These may fit as a tight fit due to their maximum width.

    What does NOT fit?

    To maintain a compact, wearable design, the current Wade Worx system does not support oversized or bulk spools.

    Examples include:

    Oversized diameter spools

    • TroutHunter

    • Hatch

    These typically exceed 80 mm diameter and will not fit the 70 mm cassette. Make sure to select the 80mm version for the Maxima Leader Spools.

    Extra-wide spools

    • Maxima (27 yd wheels)

    • Bulk saltwater fluorocarbon spools

    These are usually 13 mm or wider and exceed the 12 mm cassette width.

    Compatibility note

    • Because spool sizes vary between manufacturers, it is the customer’s responsibility to confirm compatibility before ordering.

    • If your spool is 12 mm wide or less, it will almost certainly work with the Wade Worx system.

    Pro tip:
    If you are unsure, simply measure the width of your favorite spool. If it falls within the 7 mm – 12 mm range, it should fit.

    Orders placed during this stage are treated as early production backorders for the first manufacturing run.

    This allows customers to reserve their place in the production queue before units begin shipping.
